They think we are ghosts
Merlin's in love with Vivian. She asks him to teach her how to put someone to sleep without him noticing. Merlin teaches her. He visits her every night; he thinks he's making love to her, when in reality she's putting him to sleep. He leaves happy, she is delighted - especially as she takes advantage of Merlin's visits to learn more and more spells.
An in-camera shoot with an actress and a text. Working on the levels of reality via details, via minimal changes in the game, reading, language, within the areas in the image. Three levels of reality correspond to: what Merlin thinks he is experiencing, what Viviane is up to and what the camera sees.

Ron Kenley
Trained as an architect with a long career in teaching, he has been making multi-media works and videos since 1998. A collaboration with the philosopher Jean Attali for Le Fresnoy, Studio d'Art Contemporain resulted in a number of visual works as film analysis (2001-2003). Over the years, he developed the capacity for handling all the aspects of filmmaking more or less single-handed. This resulted in a diverse and independent work of various lengths and subjects.
