Director Statement

From the first time I saw the John Carpenter classic Halloween back in 1978, I have always had an interest in the genre of horror/suspense. The idea that there is something lurking in the shadows of society has always fascinated me to the point where I became a student of the genre, and ultimately a storyteller in it. Storytelling is a large part of my Native American culture. The oral tradition has always been entertaining as well as enlightening to our tribes and is an integral part of our way of life. What I hope to do as a filmmaker is bridge the horror genre and Native American scary legends onto film, ushering in the category of Urban Native Horror.
