Director Statement

"The Lunch Date" is a short whimsical comedy, paying homage to so many of the iconic cafe scenes found in Classic French films. Everything from the Wardrobe, to the Soundtrack, and the Locations were carefully selected to this effect.

We began filming the opening scenes at the exquisite "Lolli and Pops" candy shop in the Glendale Galleria, and finished the project at the newly remodeled Scarlet Cafe at RED Studios in Hollywood.

The unmistakable music at the heart of the film is composed by the Swiss/American Improvisational Pianist Lee Maddeford, and performed in France by the Les Gauchers Orchestra and Quintet.

We are truly excited to share the results of this project with you, and hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed making it!
