The Hunted: Encore - Season 2

Swords, Songs & Slayers collide in this Musical Action Comedy that pits Megan and her team of vampire hunters against a sinister bloodsucking syndicate. It's been a year since Season 1 and the vamps wield more power than ever. Vampires John & Adam are viral sensations with their super popular vlog & have called in the rocker mercenaries, The Queens of The Damned, to finish the Encore team once and for all. The Queens, however, don't want just Megan's blood – they want HER. Meanwhile, the Slayers can't seem to get anything done. Fearing they might be in over their heads, Bob from The Hunted LA (the longest running series on the net) comes to NYC to whip the slayers into shape and take on these rockstar assassins.

Director Statement

I often work at the crossroads of Film and Theatre, so on The Hunted: Encore S2 I was able to amplify the creativity of theatrical staging & practical effects in our handheld camera scenes, and bring our full arsenal of filmmaking into the musical numbers. We created 8 distinct music videos for each of the songs in the season – which are the driving force of the series. As a musician myself, I allowed the songs to really inform what each episode should look, move, and feel like. With only 4 days of principal photography, we worked fast & fearless and this team brought the season to life magically. I love how The Hunted: Encore subverts expectation, in which musical-comedy performers, who are also highly skilled filmmakers, fight with swords exceptionally well. As a queer cis-female director making an action-comedy series, I'm definitely excited to bring a new voice to the genre.
