Director Statement

As the director of "The Broken Mirror", my goal was to create a compelling, emotional, and thought-provoking narrative that explores the complex dynamics of love, obsession, and violence. I was deeply inspired by real-life stories and experiences of women who have faced similar struggles in their relationships. This inspired me to create a film that reflects their strength and resilience.

In "The Broken Mirror", I sought to portray the characters and their relationships in a realistic and sensitive manner, avoiding sensationalism or clichés. The film's protagonist, Sara, represents the strength and courage that many women possess as they navigate the challenging terrain of love and abuse. Her journey through the film, from enduring the violence to ultimately finding her voice and breaking free, is a testament to the power of the human spirit and the determination to seek a better life.

The film's visual style is designed to complement and enhance the narrative, creating a captivating cinematic experience that immerses the audience in Sara's world. The use of close-ups and intimate camera angles helps to establish a deep connection with the characters, allowing the audience to feel their emotions and understand their motivations.

Through "The Broken Mirror", I hope to shed light on the issue of domestic violence and start conversations about the importance of breaking the cycle of abuse. I believe that cinema has the power to touch hearts, change perspectives, and inspire action. With this film, I aim to contribute to that legacy and create a lasting impact on audiences around the world.
