Ion Kion (Diego Escalada) is a film director based in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Montevideo, Uruguay. His AI films have won prestigious awards at Oniros Film Awards (New York, USA), NYIFA (New York, USA), AI Film Awards (Paris, France), Best Director Award New York (New York, USA), Cannes World Film Festival (Cannes, France), Accolade Global Film Competition (La Joya, USA), and Red Movie Awards (Reims, France), CineFantasy (São Paulo, Brazil), Amsterdam Cinema Film Festival (Amsterdam, Netherlands), and BIAIFF AI Film Festival (Bali, Indonesia). Official selections include Seoul AI Film Festival (Seoul, Korea), Almería Western Film Festival (Almería, Spain), Auguri Film Festival (Torino, Italy), and Belgrade International Film Festival.
