Superbus - A new story which is the same old story

In a neighborhood populated by a community of teenagers, the naive Teresa tries to organize and structure a democratic society. Soon the situation becomes complicated, and the bully Lucius Tarquinius Superbus rises to power. Lucius proves to be a dictator and the neighborhood ends up in crisis. Realizing what has happened, the astute Paola seeks a plan to end the dictatorship of Lucius Tarquinius. Will she make it?

Director Biography - Thomas Senica

Thomas Senica is a young filmmaker (14 years old) with a passion for history. Born and living in Trieste, Italy, he dreams of one day being able to make the adaptation of the Iliad. In the meantime, he is specializing in film directing, script writing, video and sound editing.

Director Statement

Thomas wrote the script of his first short film “Superbus - A new story which is the same old story…” inspired by events that he had lived during his childhood. For this reason, he shot the film in his native city, Trieste in Italy, together with his friends and schoolmates. Thomas also edited both the video and the sound.
