The International Social Change Film Festival (or "ChangeFest") is a transformative experience that occupies the intersection of storytelling and activism.

ChangeFest showcases stories via film, art, music, theatre, spoken word, and more from all over the world on streaming platforms and in person to:
1 - Educate and inspire the international community on global issues occurring each and every day
2 - Pair that experience with opportunities to get involved with organizations and leaders committed to righting the wrongs highlighted featuring a clear call to action
3 - Build community through artistry and shared stories

We hold screenings in Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. These include a red carpet, live panel with representatives from each film, and audience participation. The aim is to bridge community members, activists, policy makers, experts, and filmmakers to lead to dialogue connected to direct action.

Films with US distribution, or those produced or financed by a major studio or network, are not eligible for competition, though they may be selected for special screenings.

Lovely festival. Well organized. Great theatre and location. Outstanding discussants and Q&A following abbreviated screening of our prison documentary, "Straight from the Pen." Loved every minute. Look forward to returning with future productions!

the Festival was a real highlight for me. What I found particularly impressive was how it focused not only on justice themes but also deeply engaged with social issues. In times when these topics are more relevant than ever, the festival provides a crucial platform for discussion and reflection.

The films opened our eyes to social injustices and demonstrated powerfully how cinema can sharpen our awareness. Each film was not only entertaining but also incredibly educational and inspiring.

I am grateful for this experience and hope for more such festivals that focus on the important social questions of our time. My thanks go to the organizers for their commitment and for creating this impressive event. Keep it up – our world needs more initiatives like this!

We received really personal communication with this festival. They accommodated our capacity and the screening theatre was absolutely beautiful. I wish we could have attended Chicago and Atlanta events but so happy to have participated in Los Angles.
