Unlike traditional film festivals where screenings are typically limited to one-time events, our model brings your film to a wide variety of screenings, ensuring it reaches a broader and more diverse audience over time. Filmmakers are also compensated every time their film is screened, offering consistent visibility and ongoing support for your work beyond the film festival circuit.

Rules & Terms

A formal contract will need to be signed by selected filmmakers upon selection.

Non-Exclusive Rights
By submitting, you grant ShortsBlock a non-exclusive, worldwide license to include your film in curated programs. You retain full ownership and distribution rights to your work.

Filmmaker Compensation
You will receive a flat fee every time your film is screened for an audience, paid out on a quarterly basis.

Film Usage
ShortsBlock may license, distribute, and promote your film at community events, fundraisers, and educational screenings.

Filmmaker Promotion
ShortsBlock may use your name, image, and film materials for marketing and publicity.

Accounting & Payments
ShortsBlock provides quarterly payment statements for any revenue earned from your film.

Film Ownership
You retain all copyright to your work. Any promotional materials created by ShortsBlock remain ShortsBlock’s property.

Warranties & Legal Responsibility
You confirm that you own all rights to your film and that it does not infringe on third-party copyrights.
