Founder of Soul Film Company, filmmaker Rodrigo Queiroz is a Brazilian journalist working as an independent filmmaker since 2012. Rodrigo first graduated as a Journalist from Faculdade da Cidade, a private university in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1994. His passion was always with visual media.

He started as a Journalist photographer and for most of his career he worked as Chief Editor of photography. His vision and leadership come from his 15+ years as a Chief photo editor Rio de Janeiro’s magazine “Quem, ” comparable in status to our “People” magazine, here in the US. Always an artist, throughout his career, Rodrigo had some work in exhibits in both: Small beach town galleries, such Porto da Barra, Buzios and in renowned places such as “Centro Cultural Justica Federal, ” in downtown Rio de Janeiro.

Rodrigo initiated his work in film in 2010, his passion for the potential of film as a communication media, led him to a complete career change, switching photography for film. He became a full time filmmaker in 2012, and recently opened Soul film Company, a documentary and short film company with a marketing intent. Soul film Co. and Rodrigo’s focus is on building a relationship between businesses and customers thru visual connection.

Rodrigo brings to his work, academic and field experience in all facets of film making having worked on projects that range in variety from documentaries, to marketing focus short films, to educational pieces and family weddings. His work shows a fusion between artist, Journalist, filmmaker and a person with a conscience to make the world a better place.
