Drew Cash, born and raised in rural Kentucky, developed his keen sense of imagination on many a Twain-esque adventure through the woods and creeks of the Ohio Valley with his four siblings and many cousins. So it’s no wonder that his interests as a filmmaker include dissecting deep-rooted family dynamics and exploring the landscape of the post-industrial American South and Midwest. He studied English and Theatre at the University of Louisville, has toured regionally as a Shakespearean actor, and has spent time working as a carpenter between acting jobs. He has also studied Meisner technique at the renowned Joanne Baron/D.W. Brown Studio in Santa Monica, California. As an actor, you may have seen him in the Heartland Film Festival Audience Choice Award-Winning film Where Hope Grows directed by Chris Dowling, Kimberly Levin’s Runoff, or opposite Perry King in Hatfields and McCoys: Bad Blood also starring Christian Slater. On television, Drew has had roles on season 14 of Criminal Minds and the Hallmark/UPtv original film Runaway Romance with Tatum O'Neal. Drew's first project as a writer/director, Relics, had its World Premiere at the Academy-Qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival in August of 2017 in Los Angeles. In addition to Relics, Drew has two more projects in development dealing with Alzheimer’s Disease, and is currently adapting a Vietnam War era novel into a screenplay. He lives in Los Angeles.
