What can be done to reopen a cinema?
Joy, sorrow, anger, hope, disappointment. Those mixed emotions permeate the screen. And the decision is always the same: to demand the reopening of Arte Cinema, a cinema in Constitución neigbourhood that was closed in Buenos Aires city, on July 30, 2017. The affectionate memories of the moments spent in its three screens interact with images of demonstrations. Off-screen testimonials recount the experience of activist gatherings, while the images show the efforts and enthusiasm of each shared activity. Meetings to gather support, festivals, screenings, protests presenting signboards on traffic lights. What can be done to reopen a cinema? What can be done so that the neighborhood of Constitución has its cinema again?
