Quand je serai grand is about the creation of a play – Les Bonnes by Jean Genet, written in 1947 – and everything that happens before and during the creation of this play, from casting to the premiere.

It could be described as a making-of film that is entirely improvised with

15 theatre and film actors.

We discover what goes on behind the scenes in the creation of a play, the actors and their private lives, their egos, their expectations, their fears and everything that makes the world of theatre so special.

Director Biography - jeremy circus


Jeremy Circus is a writer, director and scriptwriter.

After graduating with a degree in Applied Arts and training in drama, he began directing and set up "Les Saisons d'Arthur" ten years ago. He has also worked as a photographer for theatre and dance.

With a strong interest in fantasy, his favourite themes include a fascination for chiaroscuro and a strong taste for German Expressionism.

He directed a feature film, Quand je serai Grand, as well as several music videos and more than a dozen award-winning short films around the world
