Director Biography - Dawn Gifford Engle

Dawn Gifford Engle és cineasta, activista i cofundadora de The PeaceJam Foundation. Ha estat reconeguda per la seva excel·lència en la realització cinematogràfica, guanyant nombrosos premis a la Millor Directora. Va escriure i dirigir els documentals guardonats Dalai Lama: Scientist, Rigoberta Menchú: Daughter of the Maya, Desmond Tutu: Children of the Light, Adolfo Perez Esquivel: Rivers of Hope, Oscar Arias: Without a Shot Fired, Betty Williams: Contagious Courage i Shirin Ebadi: Until We Are Free. A més, va ser coautora del llibre "PeaceJam: A Billion Simple Acts of Peace", publicat per Penguin el 2008, i ha estat nominada 17 vegades al Premi Nobel de la Pau.
