Director Statement

Timeless combines live-action and animation to create a hybrid visual language that reflects the duality of Emily’s journey — the tangible, everyday world and the abstract inner universe where time is formed. While the animated sequences explore metaphysical and emotional landscapes, live-action grounds the story in human experience.
The film’s poetic and dreamlike style, shaped through color, movement, and rhythm, reflects the fluid and subjective nature of time. Rather than portraying time as a linear structure, Timeless approaches it as an emotional state influenced by fear, memory, and inner tension.
The project was born from a personal fear of how quickly time slips away and how easily we lose harmony with ourselves. Through Emily’s journey, the film explores what happens when a young person confronts this fear and enters a world where time is not fixed, but created. This world becomes a reflection of her inner state — a space where she must slow down, listen to herself, and reconnect with her own rhythm.
At its core, Timeless is a story about inner harmony and liberation — not from time itself, but from the psychological boundaries we place on ourselves when we feel trapped by it. The film invites the viewer to reflect on their own relationship with time, self-acceptance, and the courage it takes to live in balance with one’s soul.
