Writer Biography - Cait Leigh

I am a self-taught screenwriter driven by a love of storytelling rooted in bold characters and visually expressive worlds. Working primarily in drama, fantasy, and action, I develop both original and adapted scripts with the intention of translating them from the page to the screen as visceral visually stimulating cinematic films.

Writer Statement

I wrote Acclimation during the pandemic as a creative challenge—to tell a story I could realistically bring to life with a minimal cast and budget. What began as a practical exercise became something more personal. This film is the project I want to debut with. It is a love letter to indie filmmaking and to the idea that ambition isn’t measured by scale. Acclimation is proof that big, cinematic ideas can emerge from intimate stories, resourcefulness, and belief. To bring this vision to the screen, I’m seeking the support of people who believe in bold stories worth telling. This film will serve as an act of faith and love in independent cinema: that imagination, care, and intention can transform modest means into something resonant and lasting.
