Director Statement

My mission is to deep dive into our human mess, to crack people up, and to leave a dent in the universe. I want to create pieces that people enjoy in the present and are haunted by later on.

I have complicated feelings about the end-of-the-year holidays. Society says we should drown out our pain and difficulties with forced cheer. We are told stories that reinforce this. I wanted to create a comedy that stems from misunderstandings and reveals layers of heartbreak. Those things don’t take a break just because it’s December.
