Karl is a filmmaker from Coventry with a background in making arts films and a love of alternative music and subculture. He founded No Class with his wife Rachael in 2019 and together they create video content for some of the UK's leading arts organisations.
This was the second music video I had directed for Thousand Thoughts (after 'Stigma' in 2020) and another brilliantly catchy chorus. I had wanted to combine heavy music with dance for a number of years, yet it was the band themselves who came to us with the vision of a dance-led piece for this song. They connected me with the brilliant Choreographer Simon Barnum who in turn brought on board dancer Simone O'Toole and together with our excellent crew we developed a visual language and dramatic world that enabled Simone to explore the dark themes of the song's lyrics.
