Constant Companion

Luce is a young woman trying to put her past trauma behind her but the voice in her head, or Companion as it calls itself, won’t let her. It is a constant presence in her waking life and ready to scrutinise and judge her no matter how hard she tries to ignore it and move on. Luce needs to find the strength to overcome Companion and speak out, but can she do it?

Director Statement

Constant Companion is my attempt to highlight the experiences of those like myself who have went through abuse and shed a light on the misunderstood nature of intrusive thoughts through which your own mind can become your greatest enemy. So many people are going through what Luce does and they should not be made to feel alone. The talents of the cast and crew have brought my script to life and it is my hope it both entertains and informs all who watch it.
