Dylan Lam. Born in New York City, raised in the suburbs of New Jersey, and attending Drexel University in Philadelphia for Film and Television Production. He’s an aspiring editor, cinematographer, photographer, and writer. Currently, Dylan serves as Lead Content Creator at Apex Gaming PCs, a computing company based in Philadelphia.
In the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, countless thank-yous were sent the way of the frontlines: first responders, nurses, doctors, scientists.
The title of "hero" appeared in headlines everyday.
I wanted to know who these heroes were, how they might be like any one of us, and how they're uniquely situated to fight a virus that's affecting the entire world. I found an opportunity to investigate in my Documentary Production class at Drexel University.
The challenge: gathering footage while abiding by New Jersey's quarantine order.
The solution: Hamidul Islam acted as both star and cameraman for this documentary. With only his iPhone, Ham captured most of the footage you see in "EMT: COVID-19."
Wash your hands,
wear a mask,
and please enjoy.
