Director Statement

In the visuals I go for a particularly zany and bizarre design, with a use of digital 2D animation mixed with organic, painterly textures. Cranberry Pearls is inspired by a variety of genres such as horror, comedy and fantasy - taking you on a journey through the weird and wonderful. I am selective about colour, focusing on a bold black and white contrast throughout, occasionally changing the mood with a splash of deep red or pale blue. Having worked at The Amazing World of Gumball as Character Design Assistant, my work tends to focus on strong character designs, that are simplistic and cartoonized.
