Director Biography - Gabe Reiss

Born and raised in Madison, WI, writer and director Gabe Reiss moved to Chicago to attend school at DePaul University, where he studied Directing and Writing for Film and Television. Now living in Los Angeles, Gabe enjoys being stuck in traffic, avoiding earthquakes, and overheating-- all while attempting to make more movies.

Director Statement

As a fan of grounded films that showcase worlds just a bit different (or more exciting) than ours, I'm proud to present HUSBAND, ENSURED, a "zany romp" through the themes of infatuation, companionship, and bureaucracy.

The takeaway message, I believe, is that 1) Love is silly; 2) Love is sweet; and 3) Men are perhaps a bit more interchangeable than we give ourselves credit for.

I hope you enjoy the final short film I created at DePaul University in Chicago, HUSBAND, ENSURED.
