Quimby started Studio Hyperset in 2006 after studying Anglo-American literature, new media, and humanities computing at the Universities of Georgia (AB, 00) and Nevada, Las Vegas (MA, 03; PhD, 08). Apart from his work with SH, Quimby manages a raging narrative creation/consumption habit, cultivates the Victorian “gentleman adventurer” ideal, and edits SCRIPTjr.nl. He's published work in Bright Lights Film Journal, SCRIPTjr.nl, Zouch, and other publications.
I have a background in literary studies, media production, front-end development, and project management.
As a professional, my current primary duties involve: dialoguing with clients; scoping and managing Studio Hyperset's growth strategy and solution development pipeline; framing and stabilizing our organizational and operational systems; finding and developing talent; and, most importantly, supporting our amazing team.
As a person, I care deeply about language and ideas and narrative, "good media," and other forms of mimesis. These things are at the root of the human experience, and I feel very fortunate that I'm able to engage with them in meaningful, sustaining ways every day.
