Pencil Knife Baton

A black quantum comedy.
Four roommates in Berlin are looking for meaning and identity.
Forgotten sick gods, in an almost parallel universe, are trying to fight injustice.
Can people get along with their injured ideals? Can the pursuit of personal truth go hand in hand with social justice? Perhaps solidarity and humor are the only baton between the two worlds.

Director Statement

'Pencil Knife Baton' is a black quantum comedy about friendship and solidarity. 2 universes, 2 languages, 2 groups.
The Pencil as a symbol of Germany, creation, the search for the truth and identity.
The Knife as a symbol of Greece, survival, the fight against injustice.
It does not matter the pencil or the knife, but the Baton, the friendship, the solidarity. Or we will find a way to co exist with solidarity or we are lost... as humans, as society, as culture.
In the tragic state of our present, where the absurd accidental barbarity envelops us, the upside down of reality and humour is necessary to continue, to survive.
Our injured ideals, even if they are sick, we need them.
Baton. because the quality of an individual / society / country is meaningless.
In times of thinking laziness, where a large part of the world is looking for simple analyses ... this is why the right-wing legacy flourishes with the simplest analysis. Our particular structure / film wants to demonstrate complexity, diversity and the necessity of thought.
It would be prudent to move along with our injured ideals, because otherwise the future is boring, lonely and meaningless.
'PKB' a film that became reality only thanks to the donquixotism of 100 people. A film consistent with the goal and its process.
Maybe the only way to fight injustice is not by violence; but with humour and art.
