Director Statement

Kit Menezes graduated in Radio and TV from UNIMEP and currently holds a PhD in Visual Arts from UNICAMP. He directed the short film "Noite Sem fim", awarded 2nd place in the Mapa Cultural Paulista (1998) and "Interiores", also awarded 3rd place in the Paulista Cultural Map in 1999. He also directed the experimental short films "Imersas Surfaces", screened In MIS in SP in 1999 and "Minutes to Die", selected for the Lucky Strike Lab Festival in 2002. In the area of ​​documentaries, directed the film "from 80 to 40, 50 ...", exhibited at Casa do Lago in Campinas , At the Regional Film Show - 2014. She was the Art Director for the feature film "Famous Dogs" directed by Beto Oliveira (with the release scheduled for this year) and the short film "Estranho-Ímpar", released in 2016. In art- Education program produced, along with students from the Casa Rio Piracicaba Foundation, the mini-documentary "From Within This House", screened at FESTIN in 2011. She is the author of the book "Homeless", a graphic project that mixes comics with a First-person story about homeless in Vancouver, Canada, and St. Paulo and Brasília in Brazil.
