Born on 1979 Istanbul, writer, filmmaker and translator Sinan Güldal studied cinema in one of the most prestigeous film schools of Turkey: Dokuz Eylül University. Although he is not a graduate of this institution, he started, at an early age, to work on film productions with Yeni Sinemacilik film collective, an experience that will change his life once and for all. After shooting the making of documentary of the collective's film Takva, he started working with video camera and computer graphics. He created first regular live cinema acts in Turkey with Peyote Music Club, where he created thousands of hours of live cinema. Also in Peyote, he documented Istanbul's music scene with video camera. In 2013 he started working on a series of documentary films, all on Istanbul. First film of this series, Sanguine Syrto, was screened in various cities in Turkey, and also in Italy. Güldal first started writing at the age of 14 and was published a year later in the bizarre antipsychiatry-literature magazine Şizofrengi. After taking a long break from writing and focusing in his filmmaking studies and works, he re-started writing sciencefiction and essays on future of contemporary phenomena.
