In the shadow – Part 2

Like a diary, “In the shadow” is a two-part documentary that follows the release of the latest album of the portuguese band Clã. Rehearsals, recordings, meetings with creative and technical teams, discussions about the set and costumes, shooting music videos and photo sessions, creating artwork for the album, booking concerts – all of this leads up to the album release in early spring 2020. When, suddenly, the band (and the world) is surprised by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The new album is recorded before this situation, but when heard now the lyrics of the songs seem prescient.
How does a band – a group of artists – deals with a sudden obstacle to their way of doing things and showing their creations? How do they face these new challenges and reach their fans?
This film tells the second part of that story.
