Les frémissants mystères de la nuit

Deux grands ferries engagés dans une traversée nocturne, encadrent le début et la fin du film. La lune éclaire la mer, marquant un autre chemin, au-delà du chenal de navigation, agrandissant le mystère de la nuit. Un chant choral de 1950 raconte la vie quotidienne d'un ouvrier finlandais au rythme des vagues hivernales. La chanson « Lonely night » de Moby accompagne la traversée. Il y a un sentiment de nostalgie dans le froid de l'hiver. L'« Empreinte de pierres, de cordes d'amarrage et de filets de pêche déchirées avec étoile de mer » de l'artiste Stefania Kenley pénètre la surface sombre de l’eau.

Director Biography - Ron Kenley

Trained as an architect with a long career in teaching, he has been creating multi-media and videos since 1998. Started with visual works as film analysis (2001-2003). Over the years, he developed the capacity for handling all the aspects of filmmaking more or less single-handed. This resulted in a diverse and independent work of various lengths and subjects.
