Movement for The Movement

Capoeira is a game, fight and dance bred in Brazil centuries ago through the mix of many different african cultures brought together under the context of slavery. During 3 days, in July, 2017, Mestre Lua de Bobó, one of the most respected Capoeira Angola Masters alive, visited The Watershed Center, in Millerton, NY, United States, and taught a workshop, named "Movement for the Movement", on his particular lineage of Capoeira, , while fostering an important discussion, within the political and social sphere, regarding modern survival strategies in the fight against injustice and oppression, which can be inspired directly by the teachings of Mestre Lua and Capoeira itself.
