Madhura Dalimbkar is a freelance writer, assistant director, and filmmaker from India, currently based in Berlin. Holding a master's degree in Audio-Visual Production from Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Pune (2017), and a master's degree in Film Direction from MET Film School, Berlin (2023), Madhura has honed her craft across continents with a keenness to create narratives that resonate with the human experience.
Madhura has directed and produced numerous award-winning independent short films. She has also worked with esteemed Indian production houses like Phantom Films, Applause Entertainment, RSVP Movies, and Times Studio. Notably, she played the role of Assistant Director on Netflix's "Sacred Games Season 1" and "Mismatched Season 1". Additionally, she contributed as a screenplay writer for an Indian web series called "Hostages", directed by Sudhir Mishra.
Having been inspired by films like "A Separation", "Bicycle Thieves" and "The Lunchbox" among others, Madhura’s vision is to create realistic and relatable interpersonal relationships in her stories, which can reach audiences worldwide and transcend language and cultural barriers. With each project, she aims to craft narratives that evoke empathy and understanding while fostering a deeper connection with her viewers.
