Maclovia Martel is an LA-based, writer, songwriter, and documentarian. She trained at the Otis College of Art where she was an art major. Using all that she encompassed through short films in school, music, and her fine art background, Maclovia began writing and making documentaries. A Girl From Mexico (debut documentary) played at the prestigious Lincoln Center and was nominated for 'Best Dance Documentary' in 2013. Her second documentary entitled Grow shines the spotlight on a community garden and reflects how its members support and care for each other. The Digital Nomad and the Scientist is her third film that explores the first steps of living and working in space. Her latest novel entitled My Garden is about a woman seeking connection and comfort in someone that she never expected would haul her out of her depression and show her the meaning of life.
