love fail (opera film)
Four beautiful Australian voices combined with visuals by American director Luke Landric Leonard create an opera-film adaptation of love fail by Pulitzer Prize winning American composer David Lang. Weaving together elements from the story of Tristan and Isolde with more modern sources, the music and libretto pull together narratives from MacArthur fellow Lydia Davis, Marie de France, Gottfried von Strassburg, Béroul, Thomas of Britain and Richard Wagner to create a meditation on the timelessness of love.
