Slow Days
Los Días Lentos is an observational short film capturing a week in Las Palmas, Canary Islands. Through light, shadow, and ambient sound, it reflects a slowed rhythm of life where days unfold unhurriedly, and music drifts through the air. It offers a quiet portrait of presence, stillness, and the subtle beauty of everyday moments.

Belenay Çelik is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker originally from Turkey, currently based in Berlin. With a background in classical music and a degree in Fine Arts from Anadolu University, her work merges sound, memory, and visual storytelling.
In Los Días Lentos, I didn’t aim to reveal something hidden or overlooked. I simply wanted to be present to stay with the rhythm of a place, and let the film grow slowly, like a thought that doesn’t need to arrive anywhere.
I followed the pulse of Las Palmas: shifting shadows, distant music, everyday gestures. Rather than directing the film, I listened to it. Each frame became a footstep into the poetry of time itself.
