Ana ”Cache” Torres is an LGBTQ filmmaker born in Matamoros, MX where she studied music at the Mexican Music Conservatory, San Juan Siglo XIX.
At 18, Ana was exiled to the USA. She started to study video / lighting at Richland Community College but her financial responsibilities forced her to leave school and work full time.
With the support of an American family, Ana was able to study filmmaking at Media Tech Institute.
In 2019 Ana released her first independent feature titled Gloria In te Domine, which collected ten accolades (Near Nazareth Festival, Festival Mix, etc.), and led to her becoming part of HBO MAX’s Tomorrow’s Filmmaker’s Program.
Her 2021 screenplay, Las Damas, received six awards including the prestigious Big Break Screenwriting Contest and Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards.
Ana is mentored by Hunt Lowry in the USA as well as Mexico’s most decorated Producers; Simon Bross and Inna Payán who also Co-Produced LDR.
My wish is to leave my mark on posterity and to not stop until I achieve it.
