LEAH PATTERSON has been named a 2019 Top 10 Women In Film To Watch by Diversity In Cannes. She is a current finalist for the Half Initiative (Ryan Murphy TV) in-house director program.
Leah directed and produced her first film, BRIDGET AND IAIN, which won a Best Actor award at Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase. Leah is proud to be a part of changing industry standards by bringing on a team of diverse female filmmakers for this project. The film was developed from and is based on a play she directed for Short+Sweet, she won Best Director of the 60+ play festival. The play won Best Play and the People’s Choice Award presented by the City of Los Angeles.

She is the Literary Manager for Los Angeles based Australian Theatre Company and was Assistant Director on ATC’s multi-award winning Speaking In Tongues. She has developed projects for Notice of Filming and worked in production on Ellen and late-night talk shows.
Australian-born, Leah graduated from the University of New South Wales (BA Theatre/Film & Philosophy) and New York acting conservatory William Esper Studio. She and her sister were the first in their family to attend college. She has worked as an actor in Sydney (Australia), New York and Los Angeles.
Leah had a previous career in finance on Wall Street.
