Langada Rajkumar

“Langada Rajkumar” centers around one Chimta and his son Raja. Chimta is a poor manual worker of a Village in Rangpura. Chimta does the home chores in various houses in the village and fills his belly to bring up and to educate Raja and make him a big man. Raja is handicapped from one leg. It was the wish of Chimta’s wife Dhaniya who before her death, takes an assurance from her husband Chimta, that since Raja is handicapped from one leg he will physically not be able to do any manual job. Hence he must be given good education and made a big man in his life. Thereafter Chimta for the happiness of his son Raja and to make him a good and worthy man in life gets prepared to anything merely for the sake of his son Raja and fulfill the assurance given to his wife Dhaniya before her death.
Raja, Chimta’s son always stands first in his class. In his class a son of the Mukhiya of the village also studies and who used to stand second in the class. He posed a thorn for Raja because he stands first in the class. That’s why the Mukhiya of the village waits for every opportunity and chance to harass and humiliate Chimta. The Mukhiya also tries his tricks to make Raja a labourer, but, Chimta never gets worried on Mukhiya’s plans and actions and continues his hard work to educate his son Raja and make him a and worthy man.
Mukhiya uses his influence and his strength to get Chimta’s son Raja ousted from the School. Chimta gets very upset and upset. And with folded hands begs Mukhiya to leave him and his son alone but Mukhiya never succumbs to this and turns his deaf ears.
Chimata too becomes egotistical and in the course in order to educate his son he vows to overpower Mukhiya. But in the village there is only one school and Chimta deeply ponders how to educate his son. At this time Chimta gets the news of dumping the Prince into a pit. In the Village there is a news reporter by the name of Preeti Kumari who had interviewed Chimta at the time of felling of the Prince into the pit and was asking him for his comments on the incident. Subsequently Chimata too fells his son Raja into the pit and plans to seek help from the people of the entire village. But in not being able to get any help to dig a pit from the entire village he reacts and says sala in this village there is not one pit. Then he himself vows to search for a place to dig a pit and while saving the sight of the villagers he digs a pit and one day silently he abandon his son Raja into it. Director Biography - Ajay Anand

After graduating (B.A. History) with Hons., from the Purnea College in Purnea, Bihar, his home town, Ajay Anand dabbled into theatre and floated his own theatre group under the name and style of ABHINAYAK and conducted many plays there and won recognition.

It was in the year 1994 that he moved to Delhi and got associated with eminent Theatre Director late Shri Pancham Pathak and Arvind Gaur.

Ajay Anand has had the privilege of scripting 3000 articles in verius hindi publication all over the country as a journalist.

A turning point came into his life when he landed in the Mecca of Hindi Films, Mumbai in the year 1998. Though he put inflexible struggle to get a footing somewhere, he was fortunate and privileged to have got quick breaks in various Television Shows. Subsequently he floated his own Theatre Group in Mumbai and staged nearly 700 Street Plays and other Stage Plays and even directed Theatre Workshop.

A Hindi film christened as “langada rajkumar” is Ajay Anand’s debut project as Writer-Director. Prior to this he has made three Short Films “Crime…the day after”, "scars of the wounds" and “Dark Street” and also three documentary films “Sakshar Bharat Ek Navi Roshini”, "on the way tungareshwar mahadev temple" & “Aashtha Ki Bali Baba Bachhraj Kunwar”. Other then this two feature film “apna Amitabh toh super hit hai” & “girl looking for a door” is coming shortly..

In the Entertainment Industry, people have made money, however, Ajay Anand believes that it is not only money that counts, but sincere hard work and above all good human qualities to emerge as a successful filmmaker, actor and earn name to reckon with.
