Cringe
The plot of a demolished building in Beyoğlu is turned into a temporary parking lot. A small-time criminal organization gathers to decide who will run it. Their suppressed ambitions, shifting alliances, and absurd rivalries come to the surface.
"Cringe" is a tense dark comedy that satirizes the decaying aspects of urban life through the themes of authority and belonging.

Director and screenwriter. He studied film and television. He worked as a film producer in advertising agencies.
He has blended his social observations by creating character-driven, dialogue-heavy narratives.
His debut short film, Cringe, explores the dynamics of belonging and power in urban life through the lens of dark comedy.
Living in Istanbul often feels like trying to grab a spot on the map. Every empty space quickly becomes a battlefield for power, and every temporary fix turns into a permanent problem.
With Cringe, I aimed to portray the absurdity of this warped urban order through dark humor.
I wanted to explore how authority shifts and how concepts like "rights" and "belonging" rest on such fragile foundations. The absurdity of the characters mirrors the very nature of life.
For me, Cringe is not just about who gets to run an empty lot; it’s a reflection of human relationships, ambition, and the power struggles that pop up in the most mundane corners of life. I want the audience to laugh, and to feel a little uneasy.
