Director Statement

Thank you for your interest in our short film "Katie's Post-Apocalyptic Vlog". It was made under lockdown during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, observing quarantine guidelines in Scotland – all cast and crew members collaborated remotely, while self-isolating in their own homes.

Set in a dystopian future with a decimated population, our film explores themes that are sadly too close to our own reality: social division, online sexism, loneliness and intolerance.

As our world struggles under the weight of hateful politics and environmental catastrophe, we ask you: what would you say to the last woman on Earth? We believe the answer to that question says a lot about who we are and what world we want to live in.

We can supply the film with subtitles in English, Spanish, Italian, German, French and Portuguese. If you want to screen "Katie's Post-Apocalyptic Vlog" at your event, please get in touch. We love festivals, and try to attend as many as possible (if the pandemic allows it).
