Kaio Kathriner is a Swiss-Canadian filmmaker whose short film and documentary work most recently recieved “The Flaming Faun” for Best of Switzerland - Audience Choice Award at the Shnit Worldwide Shortfilmfestival 2019.
In addition, Kaio's latest film, Refuge in the Rockies (2018) won Best Documentary Film at the 2019 Vancouver Short Film Festival as well as screening at the British Documentary Film Festival 2019. From shooting at Everest Base Camp to NHL superstar Connor McDavid, his filmmaking adventures have landed him in Nepal, Cambodia, Peru and the US, as well as shooting for CBC Arts, NBC Sports and NHL Studios. He is currently in pre-produciton on his Harold Greenberg Funded (BellMedia/CraveTV) short film "The Day We Left", and concurrent development of its respective Feature.
