Jean-Claude Leblanc, born in 1982, is originally from Trois-Rivières in Quebec. He's a lifelong movie fan. He was already making video edits with his mother's VHS camera and an old VCR before the year 2000.
Graduated from the Trébas Institute in film and video production in 2005, he worked in different positions in the cinematographic field from production assistant to director of photography, including the special effects, editing and grip departments.
Passionate, he founded Désaxé films in 2014. He wrote, produced and directed his first short film in 2015 Cauchemar capitonné with the recognized actor Sébastien Huberdeau. The film toured the world, was presented in 125 international festivals and won multiple awards. Inspired, he shot a second short: Saint-Sacrifice starring the extraordinary Luc Picard. The film is a success. It had its world premiere at the Montreal Fantasia Festival. Major projects are being written, short and feature films are on the wish list of this writer-director who is very motivated to make his dreams come true. Horror and animated films will be on the menu in the near future.
