'This film is part of a global poetic-logical project, in french language, which deals with a personal vision of the question of distancing.
In the course of my research work on the visual expression of a so-called oral culture, I designed the structure of this film from the structure of the traditional quadrille dance of Guadeloupe which starts the introspection of the main character at the beginning of the film. However, while being 'attached' to this source, I deliberately take aesthetic and conceptual distance from it to express the states of mind of the latter.'
