Hush Hush
'Hush Hush' is a horror/comedy in the vein of Edgar Wright's 'Shaun of the Dead' and Sam Raimi's 'The Evil Dead.' Directed by 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' editor Tom Nolle, and written by Chad Goldich (from Second City) and Kris Rubio (a stand-up comedian), the film is imbued with a wry sense of humor and a taste for the morbid. The project is a part of a series of films created by AK Studios, an acting studio and film collective based in Hollywood. It also features Carrie Madsen, of the Netflix "Gilmore Girls" revival series.

Thomas Nolle is an Emmy Award-winning editor by trade, currently working at The Late Late Show with James Corden. He has worked all across Los Angeles and Chicago in varying jobs, from production to camera to post, and it has all helped him gain a larger perspective over the entirety of film-making. This is his 3rd short film he has directed in Los Angeles, and he is incredibly proud of the cast and crew for making this movie especially dark and funny.
"Hush Hush" is absolutely my favorite film that I have directed. I love its anamorphic look, and the Red Dragon was such a joy to work with and be able to play with the framing with my amazing DP, James Milner. It has a sense of fear to it, and also a strong sense of humor by the absolutely deadpan cast. I love that only the main character Dan is freaking out, while everyone else is coming up with more traditional ways to handle a tragedy. That's just incredibly funny to me - the straight man often steals the show. I am also an acolyte of Edgar Wright, and we tried to borrow some of his humor here - to place characters in an unsolvable situation and watch them muddle their way out of it, only to have a twist at the end. I hope everyone enjoys this horrifically funny film.
