Oliver Cubillos is a writer and filmmaker from Los Angeles, California. Oliver graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in Media Arts Production and a minor in literature. Oliver is drawn to stories that question the world we live in. His stories focus on themes such as masculinity, queer identity, isolation, desire, and the environment.

HERMIT OR: THE IMMORTALITY OF THE CRAB is a reflection of Oliver's own fears: What happens if you lose contact with everyone you love? What happens if you have no place in the world around you? Gregory’s path of destruction is a testament to the power of community. One must embrace community, because it is absolutely necessary for survival, guidance, and human connection.
