hello world...

“hello world...” is a near-future AI short film about automation, displacement, and the social cost of unchecked efficiency. Marcus, a senior technologist, helps build the systems that accelerate a new era of machine-driven productivity. For a while, it feels like victory: professional success, friends, love, and a life that seems secure. Then the same systems begin to remove human labor from every sector. Jobs disappear, purchasing power collapses, rent becomes a countdown, and people are relocated into container housing while the old symbols of civilization are transformed into silent energy infrastructure. When the grid fails and the housing complex burns, Marcus is forced into survival. The film ends at the edge of a cave, where ““hello world...”” appears not as the first phrase of a programmer, but as a warning written in charcoal for a society that must decide whether it is ready to restart from zero. The film follows one man from professional success to displacement, fire, and survival at the edge of a cave, before revealing itself as a cinematic warning created before that future becomes inevitable.
