Director Biography - Elyas Masrour

Elyas Masrour is an engineer and filmmaker. As an engineer, he's interned in venture-backed startups, Fortune 500 companies, and even on the Engineering Operations team for the Mars Curiosity Rover.

As a storyteller, Elyas' explores science, technology, and the future. His films have screened across Europe and the Americas and won awards in top science-centered film festivals such as the Bristol Science Film Festival, Tomorrow Unlocked Film Festival, International Ocean Film Festival, and more.

Recently, Elyas graduated from the University of Maryland and joined the startup Pangram Labs as a founding engineer, building tools to keep online spaces free of AI content.
