'Langit Masih Gemuruh' (2015) is his sixth short films, set in the beginning of anti-Chinese riot in Jakarta in 1998. The film was based on his own experience as Chinese Indonesian. When not making films, he work as Director at PT. Studio Antelope Indonesia, a creative media production
company he built with Florence Giovani in 2011.
In 1998, the rioters killed thousand people, most of them are Chinese-Indonesian. But for me, a 7 years old Indonesian Chinese, not much that I could remember. It was like a dream where the fantasy and memories blend into one peculiar form. That's why I want to tell the story this way: to blend the realism of a historical event into a dreamy fantastic journey.
