A self-proclaimed sucker for true stories, Magie is best-known for his award-winning film When Cotton Blossoms, a bio-doc about the inspiring founder of the Piney Woods School in Mississippi (Best in Show: Imago Film Festival; Best Doc: Tupelo Film Festival; Best Doc: East Lansing Film Festival).
The owner of Flipbook Moving Pictures (www.flipbookpictures.com) in mid-Michigan, Magie has an attention to detail and a passion for thoughtful storytelling, whether he's writing screenplays, creating promotional videos, or training young filmmakers to create "Pictures that move."
The world needs more conscientious creators (and critical consumers) of visual media. Therefore, I try to reflect Truth and Beauty in my creative work, while also instructing young aspiring filmmakers to do the same. FOUR-NINETY is my response to the lack of forgiveness that I see in the world around me, especially from many who claim that it is central to their beliefs.
