The little boy with the big secret — After two decades living abroad, a filmmaker returns to his hometown in Brazil to confront the bullying he endured as an effeminate gay kid in a conservative, virile environment. Amidst the town's ugliness and hostility, he uncovers clues that lead him to unravel the roots of his own internalized homophobia.

Wellington is originally from Brazil and has lived in Europe since 2002. He graduated in Literature and Linguistics from the University of Lisbon and studied film production at Art-On-The-Run film school in Berlin.
Since 2009, he has worked as a film writer for various publications, including the Huffington Post, Obvious Magazine, and currently for Cinema7Arte in Portugal. He also serves as a film programmer for the Soura Film Festival in Berlin and the DTLA Film Festival in Los Angeles, while collaborating with the Forum section of the Berlin International Film Festival. His first film "Makellos" won the award for best short film at the 8th Boddinale Film Festival in 2020.
