Flight of the Fisherman

This documentary follows Huang Yuechuang, a 77 year-old cormorant fisherman who is the last of his generation to carry on the traditional type of fishing in rural China.

Yuechuang has recently become a well known personality online since a photo of him won a Sony Award in 2012 and he is determined to show the world why it is important to keep his family tradition alive.

Director Biography - Lian Morrison

Lian graduated from the international Prague Film School in 2013 with a speciality in editing.

Since then she has worked on various television shows such as Save My Pet (Pet ER) and Republic of Doyle, as well as started up her own business Tin Bird Productions which has been very successful and has made a name for itself in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Lian took a break from creating her own work to ensure her business' success but in 2016 began working on her own personal projects again such as the Documentary "Flight of the Fisherman" for which she was flown to China to shoot in April 2016 as well as the upcoming music video for London Above titled "We Came Down from the Sky."

Lian hopes to expand into documentaries both locally and internationally and help people tell their stories. She enjoys making entertaining content for viewers to experience so they can see the different lifestyles and hardships others experiences all over the world.
