Born on June 27, 2000, in Lisbon, Portugal, Catarina Almeida is a film director with a passion for storytelling. Known for her hands-on approach, she also contributes to the art department and in post-production color grading.

"Daughters of the Fatherland" or "Filhas da Pátria" is a movie about the emancipation of a young woman and the power of her speaking out in a time and country where censorship prevailed.
